When we moved in to our house 4yrs ago we fought our wood stove to get a proper draft. Our setup exits the house directly behind the wood stove and it could never hold a draft. Shipment arrived very quickly and in excellent condition. Installation of draw collar to flue of woodburning sauna stove was relatively quick and easy. Now sauna gets to optimal temperature 30% faster! Very happy with this purchase.

This device has made a difference for our wood burning stove and now we can enjoy it without smoke being pushed out do to the cold air in our stove pipe. John was very helpful.

We have a long woodstove pipe, about 20’ of 6” pipe, that has always been hard to start a positive draft on. The woodstove is in the basement and extends above the second story roof 5’. This draw collar has so far proved to really help and cuts down on the amount of smoke in the room on cold startup. I am still trying different ways to see what works best. We have a green start system and I can finally leave the door closed upon startup and I am using small amounts of cedar to produce a quick, hot fire. The temperature has been between 5 degrees and 27 degrees so there is a strong downdraft if I open the wood stove door to build the fire, even with the basement door open .

The Draw collar worked better than expected. Prior to the draw collar starting the fire was challenging and our basement would become filled with smoke. With the draw collar installed, the fire started noticeably easier and absolutely no smoke back filled the stove or into our basement.

We put up with smoke in our family room for 20 years. However, after a total remodeling of our room we couldn't tolerate the smoke that would occur on cold days when we couldn't establish a draft. As the title states. Works well, as described. Have it on for 15-20 minutes before starting the fire. Very satisfied.
